Tap to Pay on iPhone · No hardware needed
No hardware. Just your iPhone.
Tap to Pay on iPhone lets you accept contactless cards and digital wallets on the iPhone itself. The customer taps their card or phone on yours, and Edge's cash price and card price about 3.5% higher carry over.
Relax. LaVon handles the whole thing, and once you're live he's a call or text away. Not a call center.

How dual pricing works on it.
You ring the sale once. The app works out both totals from the cash price you entered, and the customer picks how to pay.
| Example | Cash price | Card price |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit on a job | $200.00 | $207.00 |
| T-shirt | $22.00 | $22.77 |
| Catering order | $85.00 | $87.98 |
- Tips: a tip is added to the total the customer chose.
- Receipts: the receipt shows the price the customer actually paid.
- Refunds: a refund goes back at the price the customer paid, card or cash.
- The notice: you post North's customer notice at the entrance and the register, and we show you where it goes for your state.

Tap to Pay on iPhone questions.
Does my customer need an iPhone?
No. You need the iPhone; the customer can tap any contactless card or a phone or watch with a digital wallet.
What if a card isn't contactless?
Tap to Pay only takes tapped payments. For chip or swipe, pair the 3-in-1 Reader with the same phone.
Does it work with dual pricing?
Yes. It works with Edge, so the cash price and the card price carry over to the sale.
Can customers enter a PIN?
Yes, on iOS 16.0 and later. After tapping their card, the customer enters their PIN on your iPhone's secure PIN screen.
Is the Tap to Pay on iPhone right for your counter?
Tell LaVon how you take payments now. He'll tell you whether the Tap to Pay on iPhone fits, what it costs each month.
