Payanywhere Smart PINPad Pro: the A80 terminal connected to the SP30 PIN pad

Who it's for.

The PINPad Pro fits a counter where staff ring the sale on one side and the customer pays on the other, without passing a terminal back and forth.

Salons and spas

The front desk rings the service; the client pays and tips on their own PIN pad. Dual pricing for salons and spas →

Retail counters

Staff keep the terminal; the customer keeps their card in their own hand. Dual pricing for retail →

Liquor and convenience stores

Don't need a separate customer pad? The Smart Keypad is the same terminal on its own. Want the customer to watch the order as you ring it? Look at the Smart Point of Sale.

A closer look.

How dual pricing works on it.

You ring the sale once. The Smart PINPad Pro works out both totals from the cash price you entered, and the customer picks how to pay.

ExampleCash priceCard price
Manicure$38.00$39.33
Gift basket$65.00$67.28
Groceries$23.80$24.63
  • Tips: a tip is added to the total the customer chose.
  • Receipts: the receipt shows the price the customer actually paid.
  • Refunds: a refund goes back at the price the customer paid, card or cash.
  • The notice: you post North's customer notice at the entrance and the register, and we show you where it goes for your state.

Smart PINPad Pro questions.

Why a separate PIN pad?

The customer pays on their own pad facing them, so they keep the card in their hand and staff never have to turn the terminal around. It also keeps the counter clear between staff and customer.

What does the customer see?

The PIN pad shows the amount and walks the customer through paying, including the PIN for debit. The posted notice at your register and your menu or price list show both prices.

What does the $49.95 setup cover?

It's a one-time charge to configure the two-piece device for your counter. It's listed on your merchant agreement before you sign.

Can I start with a Smart Keypad and add the PIN pad later?

Ask LaVon. The PINPad Pro is set up as one device with its own software plan, so it's usually simpler to choose it from the start if you want the customer pad.

Is the Smart PINPad Pro right for your counter?

Tell LaVon how you take payments now. He'll tell you whether the Smart PINPad Pro fits, what it costs each month, and whether you qualify for a free one.
